AIM: Evaluation of the efficacy of neem and turmeric in wound healing in orthodontic extraction sockets. MATERIALS AND METHODS: 45 extraction sites were divided in 3 group of 15 each where apart from group left as control, remaining groups recieved Neem and turmeric extyracts respectively. the healing of extraction socket was assessed and compared with the control group. RESULTS: Delayed wound healing was fouond in the control group as compared to the group recieving Herbal extracts. CONCLUSION: Herbal extract therapy should be administered in extraction sockets though a larger sample size may reveal more comprehensive picture. |
