Sumario:Natural killer (NK) cells are lymphocytes involved in innate and adaptive immune functions. They are the presumed cell of origin of distinct hematolymphoid malignancies, including aggressive NK-cell leukemia and extranodal NK/T-cell lymphoma (ENKTL). This review focuses on the role of NK cells and Epstein–Barr virus (EBV) in ENKTL pathogenesis.
