Sumario:Pancreatitis which is characterized by inflammation of the pancreas is an uncommon condition in the pediatric age group. Pancreatitis in children represents a diagnostic challenge for clinicians and a high index of suspicion is important for early diagnosis of pancreatitis which is known to be associated with significant morbidity and mortality. The etiology, diagnosis and aspects of management are discussed.
