description | Purpuric cutaneous lesions occurred on an adult neutered cat diagnosed with a nervous and enteritic form of panleukopenia. Histopathology of cutaneous samples revealed predominant mononuclear non-leukocytoclasic vasculitis. Feline vasculitis has rarely been reported and etiological agents are difficult to identify. Differential diagnosis ruled out cutaneous drug reaction and several viral hypotheses such as FIV, FeLV and FIP. This case is similar to the children's most frequently vasculitis: the Henoch-Schönlein purpura, which is probably caused by the parvovirus B19. |
