Sumario:In recent years impressive advances have been made in understanding viral gastroenteritis. A specific causative agent has been identified in infants and young children, and studies of a similar but distinct enteritis in piglets have given new insight into the pathogenesis of viral diarrhea. This article discusses these recent findings in veterinary and human medicine.
