Sumario: | Hepatic amyloidosis is a very rare and fatal disease, affecting Sharpeï in canine species and mainly the races Siamese, Abyssinian and oriental in the feline species. Most frequently, an inflammatory chronic phenomenon is at the origin of the warehouse of amyloid substance in organs, in particular in liver and kidney, until the complete invasion of the organ, causing then clinical signs of hepatic and/or renal insufficiency. The clinical signs are little specific and when the disease is discovered, the life expectancy is very limited. Treatments are poorly effective at this day. |
