Sumario: | Arthrinium species are presently recognised based on a combination of morphological characteristics and internal transcribed spacer (ITS) sequence data. In the present study fresh Arthrinium specimens from bamboo and reed plants were collected in China. Morphological comparison and phylogenetic analyses were subsequently performed for species identification. From the results obtained two new species, Arthrinium gaoyouense and A. qinlingense are proposed, and three known species, Arthrinium arundinis, A. paraphaeospermum and A. yunnanum are identified based on morphological characteristics from the host and published DNA sequence data. |
