Sumario:The knowledge of animals which act as reservoirs for human pathogenic agents is essential for the understanding of the epidemiology of zoonotic diseases and for the application of relevant methods of control. In the present article, synthetic tables present the main zoonoses due to viruses, bacteria, protozoa, helminths, arthropods and fungi. A list of the main pathogenic agents, the animal reservoirs and the way of transmission to man is detailed in each table.
