Sumario:The corona pandemic is currently transforming many areas of life and work in Germany. This article presents first results from a nationwide online survey. In this survey, 1867 employees of social work were asked about the consequences of restrictions on the employment situation in the area of social work. It is already clear: In addition to the intensification of work, employees perceive changes in the working bonds with their clients as well as changing professional standards, while, at the same time, witnessing a lack of social recognition. The consequences of the corona pandemic for social work are currently not foreseeable; yet the majority of the respondents expect the requirements within their own field of work to increase.
