Sumario:This chapter on the flipped classroom in Residency teaching was written before the the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Technology in teaching can no longer take a backseat. As software and tools evolve , they provide for greater interactivity and authenticity in remote learning. Although medical education in the acute care setting is now even more challenging, here is an example of effectively flipping the classroom and recommended best practices for teachers and learners.
