Comparison of cylindrical and tapered stem designs for femoral revision hip arthroplasty

BACKGROUND: Both cylindrical and tapered stems are commonly used in revision total hip arthroplasty. However, whether the geometry of prosthesis stem has an effect on patient prognosis is unclear.
