Sumario: | A history of cardiovascular comorbidity or experiencing acute cardiac injury during the coronavirus disease 2019 is accompanied by a poor prognosis. Also, it seems myocardial ischemia (or infarction) accounts for a major part of the cardiac involvement observed in this disease. Therefore, particular consideration is needed to protect the cardiovascular system during this pandemic. The gaps highlighted in this review are an issue to be explored through future research. |
