Whole‐genome methylome analysis reveals age‐related diabetes risk factors
This study provides a new perspective on the relationship between age‐related DNA methylation and insulin function. The hexokinase‐1 (HK1)’s methylation level in the whole blood can be considered as a potential biomarker for the risk of diabetes in healthy individuals. [Image: see text]
