description Cardiac Implantable Electronic Device (CIED) includes pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICD). The device infection is classified into pocket and systemic infection. We present a case of candida fungemia secondary to dissemination from the fungal ball found on an ICD. Patient was successfully managed with IV fluconazole, ICD explantation and reimplantation.
