Application of hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin as a carrier-solubiliser improved solubility of the curcumin–piperine system, its permeability through biological membranes (gastrointestinal tract, blood–brain barrier) as well as the antioxidant, antimicrobial and enzyme inhibitory activities against acetylcholinesterase and butyrylcholinesterase. |
