Novel Technique for Growth Plate Analysis Based on the Superposition of T(1)- and T(2)-weighted MR Imaging of Adolescent Wrists

In this article, a new method of information extraction on the basis of the differentiation of T(1)- and T(2)-weighted MR images is proposed. It relies on a technique of superposition of T(1)- and T(2)-weighted MR images with use of statistical dominance algorithm. On the basis of implemented image...

description In this article, a new method of information extraction on the basis of the differentiation of T(1)- and T(2)-weighted MR images is proposed. It relies on a technique of superposition of T(1)- and T(2)-weighted MR images with use of statistical dominance algorithm. On the basis of implemented image analysis, a reproducible extraction of growth zone of adolescent boys’ wrists is possible.
