description The list of drugs associated with acute pancreatitis is increasing with each passing year. Nevertheless, knowledge of drug-induced pancreatitis (DIP) are often curtailed by the limited availability of evidence needed to implicate given agents, especially for non-prescription medications. Indeed, the majority of available data are derived from case reports, case series, or case-control studies. We present a case chemically and radiologically proven pancreatitis in a 43-year-old female who was on sulfasalazine as a maintenance therapy for ulcerative colitis.
