Effects of dobutamine and phenylephrine on cerebral perfusion in patients undergoing cerebral bypass surgery: a randomised crossover trial

BACKGROUND: Patients undergoing cerebral bypass surgery are prone to cerebral hypoperfusion. Currently, arterial blood pressure is often increased with vasopressors to prevent cerebral ischaemia.
