description November 2019 marked a major turning point in terms of health crisis management coping with the most virulent pandemic in medical recent history: SARS-CoV-2. At the inception of this crisis, the healthcare workers were at grips with this world emergency situation; they were committed to managing the influx of patients, practically always under difficult circumstances. This exceptional situation required the full mobilization of the various health personnel all specialties combined. Not used to treat the “physical body” and essentially centered on “the psyche”, the psychiatric staff at the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital, managed to deal with this invisible enemy, despite the obstacles. This dual competence, both psychiatric and physical care, was undoubtedly a boon in the struggle against the COVID-19.
