Sumario:Scrub typhus, the third most frequently reported infectious disease in South Korea, causes serious public health problems. In 2019, we collected a bile specimen from a patient with scrub typhus through percutaneous transhepatic gallbladder drainage and performed transmission electron microscopy to confirm the ultrastructure of Orientia tsutsugamushi.
