description Biliary fistulas are most commonly caused by cholelithiasis. Other causes include malignancies and peptic ulcer disease. A biliary fistula caused by a penetrating trauma is a rare entity, and a post-traumatic biliary fistula to the renal collecting system is extremely uncommon. We present an extremely rare case of a post-traumatic nephrobiliary fistula incurred after penetrating trauma that was successfully treated with endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), biliary stents, and percutaneous drainage.
