Sumario: | In this article, the authors make a distinction between urban uprisings of earlier eras and the upheaval that has unfolded in the streets of America since the murders of Breonna Taylor and George Floyd by police officers in Louisville, Kentucky and Minneapolis, Minnesota. The authors wonder whether or not there is a correlation between these multiethnic/racial uprisings and non-Black residents’ commitment to eradicating racism, especially when it comes to tackling problems that disproportionately impact African Americans. |
