description The nearly complete mitochondrial genome of Paederus fuscipes (GenBank accession no. The gene order is similar to the typical insect mitochondrial genome. Maximum likelihood tree recovered the monophyly of Staphylininae, Pselaphinae, Paederinae and Aleocharinae. Additionally, Staphylininae is a sister group to Paederinae.
