The mitogenome has 15,568 base pairs (69.5% A + T content) and is made up of a total of 37 genes (13 protein-coding, 22 transfer RNAs and 2 ribosomal RNAs), and a control region. This is the first available study on complete mitogenomes of Orithyiidae and will provide useful genetic information for future phylogenetic and evolutionary classification of Orithyiidae.
