Sumario: | The COVID-19 pandemic that began in early 2020 has been paralyzing the planet for several months. Several countries, who were hardly hit by a first wave, experienced a lull period before facing a second epidemic peak. Climate potentially plays a role in the spread of many respiratory viruses. Thus, it is vital to know whether this could also be the case for the new coronavirus. While the role of climate in transmission is still difficult to infer, it is clear that other factors matter in the transmission of COVID-19, notably the respect of physical distancing rules and barrier gestures. |
