The morbidity, mortality, and financial impact of COVID-19 have been huge and can easily dwarf the issues about mental wellbeing of individuals during these tough times. This can potentially have a long-lasting impact resulting in delayed recovery from this pandemic on all fronts of life. In our review, we aim to explore the issue of mental health with particular emphasis on health care workers and try and understand the size of problems, the symptoms and specific causes pertaining to COVID-19 related mental ill health. Finally, we have summarized some of the measures that can be taken by institutions and individuals to minimize the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on our mental wellbeing. |
