description The Nutrition Committee of the Pan American and Iberian Federation of Critical Medicine and Intensive Care (FEPIMCTI) presents the Recommendation Guidelines for seriously ill patients with COVID-19 that require management in Intensive Care. Using a systematic review of the literature carried out by the members of the Nutrition Committee of the FEPIMCTI in the most relevant medical literature bases, a selection and evaluation of the available literature was made, directly or indirectly related to COVID-19, having taken into account the American (ASPEN) and European (ESPEN) Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition guidelines. Little specific literature was found in relation to the objective. The most relevant recommendations were constructed with information extrapolated from the daily management of critically ill patients and those with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).
