Sumario:The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) caused by SARS-CoV-2 has been a challenge for health services around the world. The pandemic has spread widely, with more than 80 million confirmed cases and more than one million deaths globally. There have been many studies to understand all aspects of the disease. Recently, several cases have been reported of patients with Guillain-Barré syndrome associated with COVID-19 as the main manifestation. As it may be one of the first autoimmune neurological diseases triggered by SARS-CoV-2, it is necessary to obtain more information to fully understand the immunopathogenic mechanisms involved in this association.
