Anti-Pentraxin Antibodies in Autoimmune Diseases: Bystanders or Pathophysiological Actors?

Pentraxins are soluble innate immunity receptors involved in sensing danger molecules. They are classified as short (CRP, SAP) and long pentraxin subfamilies, including the prototypic long pentraxin PTX3.
