Even more uncommon is the involvement of prosthetic joints. Here, we report a series of 3 cases of prosthetic joint failures caused by infection due to H capsulatum. Together with a review of 4 previously reported cases, we summarize host characteristics, clinical presentation, surgical approaches, antifungal management, and outcomes of this rare orthopedic joint infection.
