Characterization of the complete mitochondrial genome of the hybrid grouper (Cromileptes altivelis♀ × Epinephelus tukula♂) with phylogenetic consideration

Here we isolated and characterized the complete mitochondrial genome of the hybrid grouper (Cromileptes altivelis♀ × Epinephelus tukula♂). It is 16,503 bp long and contains 13 protein-coding genes, 2 rRNA genes, 22 tRNA genes, and a control region. The nucleotide composition is 29.08% of A, 29.03% o...

Sumario:Here we isolated and characterized the complete mitochondrial genome of the hybrid grouper (Cromileptes altivelis♀ × Epinephelus tukula♂). It is 16,503 bp long and contains 13 protein-coding genes, 2 rRNA genes, 22 tRNA genes, and a control region. The nucleotide composition is 29.08% of A, 29.03% of C, 15.66% of G and 26.23% of T, with 55.31% A + T. The phylogenetic analysis by neighbor-joining (NJ) method reveals that the hybrid offspring has a closer relationship to C. altivelis.
