Sumario: | Since the beginning of the global COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) pandemic over 16 million swab tests have been performed in Austria alone, most of them nasal swabs. It is important not to overlook this rare, yet potentially life-threatening complication if an individual presents with corresponding symptoms. |
