Sumario:This commentary argues that health psychology, as a scientific discipline, needs to address the negative consequences of Anthropocene by helping individuals, communities and health systems to produce proactive efforts and prepare effective responses strategies for climate change consequences. The commentary addresses the following questions: How to demarcate health psychology at Anthropocene age? What are the best mitigation and adaptation behaviors for health and environment? How to help the environmental migrants and future climate refugees? How to develop a more resilient and adapted health care systems? Should we be in and out of health psychology? In conclusion, health psychologists and academics have to move forward helping individuals, communities and health systems to radically develop lower-carbon lifestyles in a sustainable society.
