description • There was strong correlation between polyp diameter (≥ 10 mm vs <10 mm) and the risk of gallbladder cancer (OR=54; r=0.704). • There was moderate correlation between polyp diameter (10-19 mm vs <10 mm) and the risk of gallbladder cancer (OR=23; r=0.534). • There was moderate correlation between polyp diameter (≥ 20 mm vs <20 mm) and the risk of gallbladder cancer (OR=300; r=0.559). • There was moderate correlation between polyp diameter (≥ 20 mm vs <10 mm) and the risk of gallbladder cancer (OR=551; r=0.697). • Our results suggest that as the diameter of the polyp reaches 20 mm, it is necessary to plan a surgical treatment strategy as if the patient has gallbladder cancer.
