Sumario: | COVID-19 has highlighted the dramatic inadequacy of staffing in nursing homes, which prevents professionals from genuinely focusing on well-being for all (residents and caregivers) and the preservation of as much autonomy as possible for residents. The issue of the consequences of lockdown and the resulting dual confinement, social and moral, has been raised, especially since confinement is also often the sole strategy used in daily practice as a response to certain behavioural disorders. Other approaches can be put in place, drawing on institutional psychotherapy. |
