Sumario: | Rice bran (RB) is a rice milling by‐product that contains protein (12–15%), fat (15–20%) and starch (36%). In article 2000044 by Md Nazrul Islam and co‐workers, defatted RB‐flour is processed to prepare environment friendly adhesive through the gelatinization of starch and protein ingredients using crosslinking chemicals. Thus, the RB adhesive could be a potential alternative bio‐adhesive to the diminish toxic pollutants in synthetic adhesives for composite industries. [Image: see text] |
