Sumario:From perfectly asymptomatic forms to severe forms of COVID-19 requiring intensive care unit management, COVID-19 is now better described. Between 30 and 50% of patients will remain asymptomatic and the majority of symptomatic patients will develop the signs of a viral respiratory infection (fever, cough, asthenia). The particularity of COVID-19 lies in the wide range of associated symptoms, and its evolution in about 5% of cases to an acute respiratory distress syndrome. While age remains the main risk factor for developing a severe form of COVID-19, there does not seem to be a specific clinical profile among the elderly, for whom the expression of the disease is closer to that among young adults.
