description | The current coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has resulted in an unprecedented global healthcare crisis. Pregnant women belong to a vulnerable group with a higher chance of severe disease and need of intensive care. However, there is limited data on treatment options for severe coronavirus disease in pregnancy. Here, we describe two cases of severe COVID-19 infection in pregnancy with radiological diagnosis of COVID-19 pneumonia, who required intensive care treatment. Both were treated with remdesivir and recovered well without any major side effects, with a favorable maternal and fetal outcome. |
