description Pregnancy is associated with an increased risk of severe COVID-19, compared to non-pregnant women of same age. Most of pregnant women have no sign of respiratory distress and require symptomatic treatment with assessment of thromboembolic risk. For women with severe respiratory distress, admission in intensive care unit can be required. Cesarean-section can improve ventilation. Pregnant women with COVID-19 are at increased risk of preterm delivery, mostly in case of severe disease. In case of COVID during labor, vaginal delivery is privileged, in the absence of severity. Fetal infection after vertical transmission appears to be scarce.
