Sumario:Along with the challenges posed by the globally circulating COVID-19 pandemic, there have been some epochal advances in the field of vaccine technologies. In addition to the traditionally used dead, live and protein-based vaccines, vector-based and gene-based vaccines gained enormous attention in the course of this health crisis. The aim of this article is to provide an overview of multiple sclerosis (MS) and vaccination, recent advances in the SARS-CoV‑2 vaccine landscape as well as a detailed discussion of the various vaccine technologies. Finally, clear recommendations in the context of disease-modifying treatment and vaccination in MS are highlighted.
