There are scant data regarding the safety, optimal timing, and preferred postsurgical immunosuppression regimens for liver transplantation in patients recovered from COVID-19 infection. We describe our experience with one of the first reported cases of orthotopic liver transplantation in a patient who had recently recovered from COVID-19 infection. Using our experience as an example, orthotopic liver transplantation in patients that have recovered from COVID-19 may be safe.
