Sumario: | PURPOSE: To present a successful case of macular hole surgery in a patient with dome-shaped maculopathy (DSM). OBSERVATIONS: Patient with DSM had successful closure of a full-thickness macular hole with surgery. There was persistent subretinal fluid after the surgery, which showed some response to a combination of a diuretic and a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). CONCLUSIONS AND IMPORTANCE: Full-thickness macular hole in DSM may be effectively managed with modern surgical techniques. |
