description Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a chronic inflammatory disease with multisystemic manifestations. The aim of the present review of the literature was to provide an in-depth overview regarding the alterations of coagulation factors and prothrombotic changes generated in patients with stable COPD and during COPD exacerbations.
