Sulfobacillus harzensis sp. nov., an acidophilic bacterium inhabiting mine tailings from a polymetallic mine

A mixotrophic and acidophilic bacterial strain BGR 140(T) was isolated from mine tailings in the Harz Mountains near Goslar, Germany.
