Here we describe the case of a 26-year-old HIV-infected female patient who was hospitalized for pain in the right upper quadrant of the abdomen, and whose explorations revealed a liver abscess due to salmonella enterica enterica that progressed well after needle aspiration and antibiotic treatment.
