description In this chapter, we have reviewed side effects reported for corticotrphins, systemic glucocorticoids, and prostaglandin analogues from January 2020 to June 2021. We used PUBMED, EMBASE and International Pharmaceutical Abstracts (IPA) as our search engines. Adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) has found multiple uses but are associated with adverse effects on cardiac function and nervous system. The systemic corticosteroids hare associated with high rates of hyperglycemia, infection, cardiovascular disorder, ocular disorders, and osteoporosis. In this manuscript, we have also included a review of recent reports on patients taking systemic corticosteroids who experienced severe COVID-19 symptoms as compared to those who have not received any systemic corticosteroids. Finally, we concluded this chapter by reporting the adverse effects of prostaglandin analogues.
