description Fine-needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) is an excellent technique for rapid diagnosis due to its speed, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness. This review discusses the diagnostic challenges in the gray-zone areas in FNAC. It emphasizes the use of selective ancillary techniques to solve the problems in this area.
