Sumario:This work presents a decision-making framework for integrating resilience and sustainability in managing production systems during COVID-19. An operationalization scheme manifested via a case study at a manufacturer in the food production sector supports the proposed framework. The focus is laid on the tactical and operational decisions within the production system. Through the discussion of the introduced changes to mitigate risks emanating from COVID-19, a set of findings related to the deployment of digital solutions, new dimensions of sustainability and resilience, the introduction of new workforce scheduling rules, the importance of alignment and coordination across supply chain members, and the approach of risk management are identified. This work contributes to a better understanding of the decision-making process during the pandemic and to building up knowledge for the management of resilient and sustainable production systems.
