The Biochar Derived from Carp for High‐Efficiency Solar Steam Generation and Water Purification (Global Challenges 1/2022)

In article 2100083, Xidong Suo, Jie Yang, Bowen Zhang and co‐workers demonstrate the use of biochar prepared from carp as a high efficient solar water evaporator. The pyrolysis temperature of biochar and solar light intensity have a significant impact on the evaporation efficiency of the biochar. Un...

Sumario:In article 2100083, Xidong Suo, Jie Yang, Bowen Zhang and co‐workers demonstrate the use of biochar prepared from carp as a high efficient solar water evaporator. The pyrolysis temperature of biochar and solar light intensity have a significant impact on the evaporation efficiency of the biochar. Under 1 sun illumination, the biochar prepared at 500 °C has a highest water evaporation rate of 1.48 kg m(−2) h(−1). [Image: see text]
