Sumario:Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis has been reported as a severe complication of various viral infections but unusual for the hepatitis A virus. We report a case of 25‐year‐old man with hepatitis A infection‐associated hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis and impending acute liver failure to emphasize the importance of early diagnosis and treatment of this condition.
